A small group of VU amateurs from the Bangalore Amateur Radio Club have been authorized to set up a ”humble HF station” August 13-22 as a Special Event station to represent India during the International Lighthouse and Lightship Week 2012.
VU2UR is quoted as saying: “We are indeed “a REAL HUM- BLE STATION” with NO amps, NO beams, NO computer logging, NO sponsors, etc. But, this is a “3-in-1′′ special operation with IO- TA, WLOTA, and VUFF, which is quite a rare thing to come by ……. Wish us all the best of Solar activity so that we can exchange reports with the few, who still need a VU7 QSO.”
