In Feb/2011 the “Buddies in the Caribbean” DXpedition (a group of 8-hams specializing in 100 watt or less low power radios and the Buddipole portable antenna system) spent a week operating from the island of Dominica on beaches, mountains and from their cliff-side villa. This is an annual effort to demonstrate “ultralight” dxpeditioning into magnificent “vista” locations, operate a field portable battery-only radio with back-packable, lightweight antennas and most of all “have fun!”
